Compare items like the 95-3611 V-belt against factory width tolerances to catch rib wear early. Idler pulleys must spin freely without any lateral play or rough bearing rumble. Misaligned pulleys force the drive belt to ride up on the flange, causing fast edge fraying and complete cord separation. 

Shaky lift arms: why worn bushings ruin your quality of cut

The metal framework of your turf machinery carries heavy steering and twisting loads. This is especially true when running high-capacity cutting decks over bumpy ground. Structural pivot points, lift arm assemblies, and chassis pins use sacrificial bushes to stop destructive metal-on-metal friction. When these bushes deform or wear thin, your cutting deck shifts out of line, resulting in an uneven, messy turf finish that clients notice immediately.

Isolate the lift arms during inspection to check for structural play and apply steady leverage to find any movement inside the pivot housings. Press out worn bushes quickly and replace them before elongated wear destroys the entire lift arm casting. Operators should also inspect deck stability components, park brake safety switches, and key barrels. Keeping these smaller parts in top shape protects your crew and preserves the long-term value of your mechanical assets.
